caffeine and paint certainly do mix.

Only the best drink ever. Backdrop is a watercolor painting I made yesterday.

Yay pre-calculus!

This is my finished entry - not the same piece I posted a picture of yesterday: I started another one, this time in watercolor and felt-tip sharpie. I scrambled to finish it in 2nd period, since the deadline was today. The title is "Eye-ris." Fingers crossed! :)

back to school

Since my third period last quarter, Health, was only a quarter long, I now am a TA for Mr. Schnieder in Keyboarding 2. It's a pretty chill class, and he's a bit of a standup comedian. He tells stories to the class, and it doesn't seem like 88 minutes have gone by at the end of the period.

These people are putting on an art contest, and the grand prize is $1000 - I thought, "hey, why not, let's give this a shot!" The subject matter is supposed to incorporate irises. I started on a piece with oils, not pictured, but I didn't like how it turned out, so I tried again with acrylics (above). I'm feeling kinda meh about it.

car day and muir woods

The family spent most of today in the car, on the way to Muir Woods. Claire and I took at ridiculous amount of pictures, which can be found in my Facebook album.

After we picked up Dad from SFO, the family went to Red Robin and relaxed. We ordered the stacked onion rings, and funnily enough, there was one onion ring for each member of the family.

a perfect saturday

Claire's big birthday sleepover took a toll on everyone the next day. I woke up to the sound of around 20 middle-sized girls giggling and squealing and running around the house.

Justin and I went to Berkeley and hit up the Ashby Bart flea market. It was a gorgeous day to go rummage through other peoples' interesting junk.

Justin fell in love with this painting, and we bargained with the seller and bought it for $15 - and now it's hanging in Justin's room.

On our way to El Torito in Concord for Erica's birthday dinner, which involved good people, a very confused waiter, Josh's Check Solution (A vs. B), delicious food, and deep fried ice cream.

Hangin' at Eric's house afterward. Erica and I followed "Carla's" blog as if it were a soap opera, and everyone else chilled and played xbox. Notice Justin's new sloth shirt! :)

winco and sloths

John and I went to Winco today to go shopping for Claire's birthday party.

John bon

Getting excited about some muffins.... don't ask.

I re-made Justin's sloth shirt for him today, since the old one was Epic Fail.

thursday with Peter

Sunrise from the window in the loft.

In the car on the way to church. Sleepy kids.

Dad took Peter and me out to lunch at Rocco's, which was lovely. We split two personal pizzas and said hi to Darlene, Sara, Deanna and everyone else.

After we dropped Dad off back at the office, Peter climbed the orange tree out front to get a few oranges and a view of the surrounding area.

This is my disco ball that JD and I got at Sunvalley a while back - it's hanging above my bed.

Justin flipping through my art book (which he ended up stealing at the end of the night, to put in some new post-it notes).

He told me I have to post this one of me.

Crayola marker sketch, since Justin had the rest of our art supplies. I think I'm gonna call it Grubbers.

Yoga, anyone?

beautiful color

Antioch skyline, 7:24PM. I just love the gradation from orange to blue - it's so smooth and perfect.

The most attractive pair you'll ever meet.

Haha. :D This was on our way to Justin's mom's birthday dinner.

Riverbank

Hiiiiighfive! Today Justin and I went on a bit of a roadtrip, to Riverbank to visit his grandparents, uncle, aunt, and cousins. It was a lot of fun. I got to meet everyone, including two awesome kids Dakota and Cheyenne.

Dakota eating his ice cream.

Cheyenne eating HER ice cream.

Justin and I found this weird boxy house.

Yours trooly.

the automatics!

James and Peter made breakfast for the family this morning. Cheese eggs and pancakes preceded the long list of jobs Mom had in store for us, including a $300 grocery list that Claire, Jayme and I picked up at Winco.

After THAT whole ordeal, which included multiple shopping carts and a long search for cream of mushroom soup, Justin and I made some 7 layer dream bars for his aunt Noreen.

Then we hit the bars and GOT OUR DRINK ON! Jk. We snuck into the Dublin sports bar at about 11:30PM to see the Automatics (my dad and his brothers and this guy named Doug) play a gig.

Heeeeere they are!

lolz

Zees ees my hows.

My new In-N-Out bumper sticker! I love them!

Justin and Mary chillin' on the floor of my bedroom. Mary was trying to teach Justin something, and apparently he's not as flexible as she is - hence the look on his face, which makes me giggle.
